Rosalind J. Matos
Founder/Owner
With 24 years of legal experience, Rosalind J. Matos has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts at trial and appellate levels. Fully bilingual, she brings a strong background in civil litigation, with a particular focus on real estate disputes, including foreclosure defense, landlord-tenant matters, and buyer-seller conflicts.
Her legal career began in public interest law as South Florida Staff Counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Florida in Miami. Over nearly eight years, she worked extensively on civil liberties issues, including police misconduct, racial profiling, privacy rights, free speech, student rights, and religious freedom. At the ACLU, she litigated federal civil rights cases, assessed pending legislation for constitutional concerns, testified before legislative committees, and collaborated with advocates to advance civil liberties protections. She also served on the Miami-Dade Racial Profiling Advisory Board and lobbied for the Civilian Investigative Panel (CIP), which investigates police misconduct complaints in Miami-Dade County. Additionally, she frequently appeared in Spanish-language media as a spokesperson, engaging in interviews, debates, and public discussions on civil rights issues.
Committed to public service, Attorney Matos joined Legal Aid Service of Broward County, where she dedicated her efforts to foreclosure defense, assisting low-income families in saving their homes through litigation and loan modification negotiations. Building on this experience, she later took on a leadership role at Glantz and Glantz, managing the foreclosure department and overseeing both residential and commercial foreclosure cases. During this time, she represented borrowers throughout the litigation process across the Tri-County area.
Driven by deep-rooted passion for client advocacy and a commitment to providing personalized legal services, Attorney Rosalind Matos took the next step in her career. In March 2014, she founded her own law firm, establishing a practice dedicated to serving the legal needs of her community. With a background in hospitality management, she understands the importance of building strong client relationships and takes a personalized approach to every case. Her unwavering dedication to justice, advocacy, and client success continues to define her legal practice.”
Since its founding, Matos Legal, PLLC, has been proudly serving clients in the Tri-County area. With over a decade of dedicated service, the firm has established deep roots in the community, earning a reputation for trust, reliability, and legal excellence. The firm’s commitment to advocacy and client success continues to set them apart as a well-established and respected firm.
